The problem

Cat was starting a home-visit hair extension service covering Gorenjska and Ljubljana area. There was no web presence at all — the site had to launch alongside the business itself, with no existing traffic, reviews or audience to build on.

Two things made it more than a standard brochure site. A service where someone comes to your home has to earn trust before anyone will book, so the site had to do the work a personal recommendation normally does. And a meaningful share of potential clients are English speakers who would never find, let alone read, a Slovene-only site.

Approach

Flask with Jinja templates, rendered on the server. The site ships no JavaScript at all — nothing on it needs any, and most visitors arrive on a phone straight from a search result, where every kilobyte of script is time spent looking at a blank screen.

Both languages are full URL trees rather than a client-side toggle, so every page exists at its own address and can be found, linked and shared in either language.

The content is organised around what customers actually ask before booking: a complete price table broken down by method and hair volume, aftercare instructions, and an FAQ page. Publishing those answers does work that would otherwise happen one message at a time, and a visible price list filters out enquiries that were never going to convert.
